Rick is adept at managing and driving organizational change, ensuring smooth transitions and enhanced performance. He leverages his extensive experience from large organizational change assessments, change management projects, and his academic education.
Rick excels in leadership assessment, training and development, enhancing operational efficiency and team dynamics through decades of industry and advisory experience. He has a unique ability to leverage his deep corporate and technical expertise to develop strong rapport with senior executives, helping clients uncover insights that are both inspiring and actionable. Rick fosters team cohesion and improves teamwork, supported by sharp financial analysis capabilities built upon his private equity education and portfolio company experience.
Rick has worked with boards, venture firms, private equity companies, and executives at organizations across the globe, ranging from disruptive private companies to industry heavyweights including Google, Pinterest, Salesforce, Motorola, Merck, Blue Shield, Intel, VMWare, Blackberry, and more. Prior to creating Leadership Fluency, Rick held positions such as Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Corporate Marketing for small and mid-sized companies in the tech industry. He has served as a company officer during high-stakes acquisition transactions and led the product-marketing strategy for the global Android product portfolio at Motorola. Additionally, he oversaw large teams responsible for marketing all smartphones sold through mobile operator channels such as AT&T and T-Mobile.
Rick received his MBA with a focus on organizational behavior and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management and his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois. He also holds a certificate in Private Equity Analysis from the Wharton School of Business and is also a Certified Professional Coach. Rick lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two young children and enjoys music and a variety of fun family activities.
